Vol.4 The story of how pearl flat shoes are made

The pearl flat shoes are Mays' original design and production sandals. This year, the leather creator 510base collaboration model's belt color variations are very popular.
Today I would like to tell you a little about how these sandals came to be.

Until two years ago, I lived in Guangdong Province, in the south of China, for seven years.
It was hot almost all year round, and the city was so big that the roads were as wide as runways, and even walking one block was exhausting. Because of this environment, everyone wore comfortable and cool shoes like flip-flops, rather than stylish shoes.

I used to travel abroad a lot.
When traveling, where I walk many times more than usual, I tend to wear "shoes for walking" rather than fashionable ones.
But when I go to a nice restaurant while traveling, I want to dress stylishly.
When I go into a hotel, I feel a little embarrassed to look like a tourist in sneakers. But it's also a hassle to carry two pairs of shoes. I've had similar experiences.

With this experience in mind, I decided to create a special pair of shoes that were both walkable and stylish.

When I showed the design sketches to my Chinese friend Dandan, who works at a shoe factory, he was happy to make the shoes.

Together with Dandan, I went to the shoe material market (Guangdong Province has various material markets, attracting many buyers from all over the world. There are many very large markets scattered around) and shoe factories almost every day.

The shoes were designed to be usable not only in summer but also outside of summer, and can be worn with wedding dresses, one-piece dresses for special occasions, hotel lunches and other slightly formal occasions.

Of course, it is designed and equipped with functions that make it suitable for overseas travel as well.

I chose 3cm heels which are more comfortable than flat shoes and make my ankles look beautiful.

There are many different types of leather available. For the insole, we used pigskin leather, which has anti-odor properties, prevents sweat build-up, and is ideal for preventing your feet from slipping forward.
The insoles are lined with the highest quality memory foam cushioning, and we have received many reviews from customers saying that they don't get tired even after walking around all day.
In addition, the bottom surface (outsole) is treated with an anti-slip coating to prevent slipping and falling on slippery roads on rainy days.
Even when my child was still small and in a baby carrier, I always went out wearing these sandals.

We offer a wide range of sizes, from 22.5 to 25.0 cm.
We wanted people with small and large feet, who often have a hard time finding cute shoes, to be able to wear them too.

Mays products, such as rings, are made with the same idea in mind, but we design them with the aim of ensuring that customers who like our products do not have to give up because the size doesn't fit.

To ensure a snug fit, we've drilled an extra five holes in the belt.

These five holes allow the instep height and width to be adjusted perfectly to fit any foot.

And thanks to the generosity of 510base, who produces our color belts, we are now able to order custom sizes.

This is very popular among people for whom the length of a regular belt is not enough.

These shoes are not only stylish, but also designed to fit your feet well, allowing you to walk anywhere.
